felt :: feutre canada unites, informs and inspires Canadian feltmakers while building a national identity around feltmaking, through our website, events and exhibitions. We create educational and outreach opportunities through workshops and exhibitions to further interest in feltmaking and encourage high standards in feltmaking, both artistically and technically. We aim to increase the profile of Canadian feltmakers around the world.

Surface, Form and Space :: Pam de Groot at the Shatford Centre

This September, Pam de Groot will be coming to the Shatford Centre in Penticton, BC to teach two felting workshops. Her Felted Vest workshop is sold out but there is still spaces in her Surface, Form and Space class.

Kootenay Fibre Arts Festival

The Kootenay Fibre Fest is on this weekend with vendors, demos, give it a go stations, giant knitting, gallery, and stash exchange/sale. Bring a piece of your work to show in our pop up gallery for the day. (display only) Bring your spinning wheel, knitting, crochet, stitching, hooking...anything portable to work on. It is a day of play and making and doing and sharing. All welcome.

Sea & Sky :: IFA Members Exhibition

Currently the IFA is hosting a touring exhibit in the UK, entitled Sea & Sky: A Members Exhibition. The show exhibits 22 pieces of original work by IFA members which were selected from the 50 entries shown at the AGM in April. Two Canadian artists, both felt :: feutre canada members, are featured in the exhibit: Sandra Barrett and Chantal Cardinal. Recently we talked to these artists about their work.

Prince Edward County Fibre Fest :: May 27th 2017

The first Annual Prince Edward County Fibre Fest is Saturday May 27th, from 9am to 6pm at the Picton Arena and Community Centre, 375 Main Street, Picton Ontario. This is the perfect venue for those who love fibre, beautiful countryside and wine.
